Acomb Parish Hall provides an excellent facility for both the church and community use in the heart of Acomb. There is some client parking available directly at the front of the building and further parking available adjacent to the nearby Morrisons Supermarket. The hall has an access ramp to the front doors.
The Main Hall, of nearly 300 square metres and with a stage, is suitable for a range of activities, including dancing and organised children's activities. Seating is available for up to 200 people, and there are over 20 large folding tables for clients to use. There is a well-equipped kitchen (with cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, kettles & crockery etc) with a hatch to the main hall to facilitate the serving of refreshments. A further two smaller rooms are available for hire - one upstairs (The Barlow Room) and the other downstairs (The Ellis Room).
The hall is well served with toilets including an access toilet and baby changing facilities. Large groups such as Acomb History Group, Acomb Flower Guild and Tumble Tots are regular users of the hall, but the hall is also used for smaller groups and certain private parties. Rates for hire are as follows. Main Hall £21 per hour Ellis room £11 per hour Barlow room £11 per hour.
The hall committee reserve the right to charge a premium rate for some types of hire, but this will not exceed £25 per hour for the main hall.
Payment can be made in cash, by cheque or bank transfer, details of which will be given at the time of booking.
