There has been a church and churchyard on this site since Saxon Times. Now, the churchyard is looked after by the EcoChurch Team, together with CS (Community Service) teams, the War Grave Commission, and volunteers, who mow and strim the grass, trim the hedges, and keep the graves neat and tidy. St. Stephen's Churchyard is a haven for wildlife, so some areas are left un-mown, to provide habitat for the many species the churchyard caters for.
- We welcome dog walkers, and appreciate the dogs being on leads at all times, to prevent fouling and protect wildlife.
- Flowers may be placed on graves, and we would love to see more wildflowers, and bulbs planted.
- Please do not put any ornaments on graves, other than flowers.
- No changes can be made to existing graves and headstones without contacting the vicar. You may contact the vicar via this website.
