Squeals On Wheels

Our Baby and Toddler/Carer Group offers:

- Friendship
- Support and advice of a peer group
- A gateway to the local community
- A bridge to the life of the Church
- A chance for a small child to experience other children
- Fun activities for carers and very young children at a convenient time and place.

We meet in St Aidan’s Church from 9.00 to 11.00 on Tuesday mornings in term time. The church chairs are cleared away and a selection of toys and books put out on colourful mats for the children. Chairs are arranged around the room for the carers. We also have a good selection of trikes and other rideable toys and, of course, dolls, prams and a playhouse.

After about an hour’s play with the toys, ‘play dough’ or a simple activity, everything is cleared away and small tables and chairs arranged for the children. Refreshments are served for all. This is followed by a simple sing-song. The session ends with a short prayer. Any parent or carer and baby or toddler is welcome.

The charge is 60p per adult and child for each session with an additional 60p payable for a second or subsequent child aged over six months. This includes the cost of a drink and biscuit for both children and carers.
