We gather together as the family of God to sing, to pray and to grow together. We do this at lots of different time throughout the week in small groups but we also come together as a whole church at set times.
8.15am- Each week we gather at St Stephen’s Church for a quiet, more traditional style of worship and have Holy Communion together.
10am- This is our ‘family service’ where all ages are made to feel welcome and are able to participate.
For these services we alternate between St Stephen’s Church and St Aidan’s Church. The way we remember which church we’re at each week is by remembering the phrase: “Even Stephen’s”
(the 2nd and 4th (evens) Sundays we’re at St Stephen’s and on the 1st, 3rd and 5th (odd) Sundays we are at St Aidan’s).
On the 1st Sunday of the month we have an All Age service where children stay in for the whole service (at these services there is no Communion).
The other services in the month the children have special groups for them to play and learn together (at these services there is Communion).
6.30pm- On the 4th Sunday of the month we share fellowship with our brothers and sisters from the Methodist, Catholic and Baptist Churches in Acomb. For more details and to find out where they are check out the monthly magazine by clicking here.
7am- We meet early at St Aidan’s Church each Thursday morning to pray together before starting the day.
10am- Each week we gather at St Aidan’s Church for a small, reflective service of Holy Communion and afterwards have some fellowship together.
On the 1st Tuesday of the month we hold a service aimed at families at St Aidan’s Church from 3.30-5.30pm. There is craft activities, food, songs, prayers and a celebration where we hear stories from the Bible. There is a great, fun atmosphere at these and are great for all people from the smallest child to the oldest adult!
