We are a community in Acomb shaped by our encounter with Christ. We meet together to try and work out what that encounter means to our lives and the lives of those in our neighbourhood. We also seek deeper relationship with other people, not just our friends and family but we also those who do not consider themselves part of our church family.

We are a pretty large residential Church of England parish on the western edge of York. We have two worship centres, but regard ourselves as having one congregation. Our main Sunday service is family friendly with activities for children and young people and we want everyone to feel they have a special and significant place within our Christian family. We are a friendly and welcoming community with people from diverse Christian backgrounds and traditions. This brings both frustrations at times but mainly a great openness and flexibility in our worship and service to the our community in Acomb.
